Zachary Stingl

Zachary Stingl is a seasoned and compassionate educational leader known for his thoughtful approach and commitment to excellence. With experience opening and guiding over one hundred schools to success, Zachary is deeply respected by the educators and teams he leads—many of whom are eager to follow his inspiring vision wherever it takes them. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys the simple pleasures of being barefoot and preparing “Food for Frank,” a personal culinary tradition that reflects his creativity and care.

Amanda McMickle

Amanda McMickle is a seasoned educator and leader with over two decades of experience in Texas's educational landscape. Currently serving as the Vice President of Education at San Antonio Zoo, she brings a wealth of expertise across diverse educational settings from nature-based preschools to public ISDs. In her latest roles, Amanda has been instrumental in founding NEST (Nature-based Education Support in Texas), forming the Children’s Outdoor Bill of Rights (COBOR) in San Antonio, and spearheading Outdoor Learning in Texas - The Steve Lewis Project. She also teaches a graduate course at Antioch University entitled Business Planning for Nature-based Preschools and Forest Kindergartens.

Her commitment to innovative educational approaches is evident through her advisory positions on the Natural Start Alliance and the LiiNK Project. Furthermore, Amanda actively contributes to the governance of Families in Nature and the International Play Association-USA Chapter. Amanda is a doctoral candidate at the University of the Incarnate Word pursuing a PhD in Adult Education, Social Innovation, and Entrepreneurship at The University of the Incarnate Word.
